Uiver has been going to Equatic Spa in San Marcos for nearly a year. He loves every minute of it and the swimming and Aquatread have made a huge difference in his topline and cardio vascular fitness. Here is some cool underway video of his swim last Friday.

Uiver is enjoying a stay at the Equatica Spa. He took to swimming like a pro. Tomorrow he will go on the water treadmill. My hope is to up his fitness even more so we can have one more year at CDI. Now at 19, Uiver still thinks he is a 3 year old, this cross training will help keep his body like one.

9 years ago this weekend I showed Uiver for the first time. I was just so happy to be back in the show ring and had no expectations as to what the future might bring. Uiver won all 3 of his classes that weekend which was obviously a good omen. 3 years to the month later we made our debut at Grand Prix. To say that my journey with this horse has exceeded even my wildest dreams is an understatement. And 9 years later I still feel blessed every day to have him. Was so missing my dressage peeps this past weekend. Del Mar National has long been my highlight of the competition year. And Uiver’s favorite venue. Last year also marked the highest score of his CDI career. I know we will all be together soon. Stay strong, stay safe and stay well everyone.

19 years ago today, a large bay colt was born in Holland. (I am assuming large since he is named after a Dutch cargo plane.) Little did I know that we would cross paths in 2011 and this horse would change my life. He would elevate my riding to heights never imagined, giving me his all every time. On May 31st, 8 years ago, I signed a bill of sale that would change my life in every good way possible. That was the day Uiver became mine. I could not have even imagined the journey this horse would take me on. From 3rd level to Grand Prix, this partnership has taken my Equestrian career to places I had scarcely dreamed of. And at 18, even though our 2019 season was a short one, Uiver performed better than ever and earned his highest scores to date at CDIs. It is truly an embarrassment of riches. As for next year, it is up to Uiver. As long as he wants to dance, I am honored to be his partner.
