Rocking Horse Ranch

Just got the x-rays from the vet... Rocky had more than 50 pieces of shot in his one leg throughout bone, joints, and soft tissue. I kept wondering if somehow he could have been saved, but seeing the x-rays again and just how extensive the damage was, I know we made the best decision. Loved that horse and miss him so much! Today and Saturday will be the last therapy groups I have to share the sad news with. Can't wait to have all the hard parts behind me and nothing but happy memories and cute pictures going forward <3 Also, our expenses have now hit about $8000 not including lost income. Our beloved Rockstar was shot early Friday morning and later put down as a result of his injuries Hashtag seems to be suffering some injury to his backend and is still under evaluation. Merry Christmas!

My boy Hastag (on the left) came home a couple weeks ago from training with what we assume were ulcers and colic. He has been recovering and today was full of energy and took off full speed in the roundpen only to come up extremely painful and with significant blood in his urine. First thought was he tied up but it was atypical. Doing blood and urine work. I love this boy and have been through so much with him since his mama's rescue. Going broke on vet bills and sleepless nights. Praying for answers and a return to health soon <3
