This freshly-installed, pocket-sized, edible / pollinator garden looks pretty minimal right now. Best to plant small, and during winter, so plants can have the best odds of adapting to their new situation. In a year or two, this quiet is going to be a riot! Designed by Ira Johnson for Rock & Rose. #rockandrosesf #designbuildcare #sanfranlandscapes #growyourown #pollinatorswelcome

Can’t find your garden under a sea of this green? With these much-needed rains comes Oxalis season. Oxalis pes-caprae, also known as Sourgrass is an invasive from South Africa that has naturalized here in the Bay Area. Some find it cute, especially with its sulfur-yellow blooms later in the spring, but this clover-lookalike has no natural controls, can choke out other plants, and takes a sustained period of proactive management to remove from where it’s not wanted. Have an Oxalis problem? We’re here to help! #sanfranlandscapes #invasiveplants #gardenhelpers
