Music is a prayer in song. My Dad has always been a music man. Since I was a little girl, he would play his guitar around the house. At night, he would play Beatles songs when us kids were going to bed. Yellow submarine quickly became a song I knew every word to because I would request it almost every night. My Dad has been in many rock and roll bands, he can hear a song and start playing it. One year for Christmas we got a keyboard , I'm sure my parents instantly regrette...d that decision when I learned to play the same song in every tune available on that thing. Fortnite cake for Carson's 7th birthday! This is my rich, chocolate cake with a teal buttercream filling. It's covered with individual pieces of fondant as the fringe, and the ear, feet and mouth are also fondant. This was a fun cake to make! Happiest birthday Dude!!

I took off the month of December. I know, the busiest month for a baker what was I thinking?! But I loved spending so much time with my family and enjoying the holiday season. I hope YOU all had a wonderful Christmas as well Thank you all for making my 2020 such a great year!!! ... There were plenty of things to hate about this year, but I'm not worrying about any of those when I get to look back and see all the different creations I was able to make for YOU! Did your creation make the top 9? I have very clear memories of each of these creations. For example, those fall sugar cookies, I can still feel the ache in my hand from those! That Avengers cake was so much work, but can I really call it work when I loved that order so much? Bonus for me is when I get to deliver these orders and see the faces on these kids! That's the best!!! And it's probably best that you don't know how much I cried over that anvil cake, I did not want to screw up that order. I also LOVE the diversity in this top 9. Sugar cookies, macarons, cupcakes, tiered cakes, and carved cakes! As I was looking back at all of the different orders I was able to create this 2020, I'm just so grateful!!! With so many new followers I decided to share with you all how I came up with my business name. It was the year 1982, and Andrea Rochele was born on a warm summer day. She lived her best life until the year 2002. In 2002 she met the man of her dreams and took his last name of Thompson. Years went by and she had baby after baby, after baby! She felt like she didn't have a name for herself, she felt like she lived just to take care of others, she felt kinda lost. In 2015 she ...wanted the most epic shark cake for her little boy, but couldn't afford the bakery. I decided right then that I was going to learn how to make awesome cakes and I wouldn't be stopped!! 2016 came and I got my first order from someone else. I was so excited!!!! I was terrified, I needed a name!!! If people wanted to place orders, I wanted to be more than just the "cake lady". I thought of so many different things to call my new business, but NONE of them felt like ME! Until I stopped trying to be something I wasn't, I realized that my name had always been a part of ME. Andrea Rochele Thompson. A.R.T. Cake Creations was born, and I've never looked back. Creating things is my passion! Whether it's edible creations, or not, I love creating things that others enjoy.
