Rob's Garage Workshop

This was a Christmas present project I did with my 7 year old son. We made two of these picture frames and gave them to both his grandmas. Going from the outside in they consist of ash, African mohagany, purpleheart, and oak. I enjoy doing projects with my son and he is really taking a liking to woodworking.

Here's some pics of a recently finished kitchen cabinet build. The cabinet style is based on the original kitchen cabinets that I refinished a couple of years ago which, in this home, are from 1957. Here's a fun little shop made mallet I've been working on in my spare time. The handle is made from ash and purpleheart and the head is made with Brazilian Nut wood and purpleheart. The mallet is held together with a through tenon and a wedge made with slivers of all three woods for extra strength.
