This is a good article on CNN about the new tax bill. We are watching the bill's progress. Will clarify the details after the bill is approved and signed by the President. In case you missed it: This is what's in the tax bill deal From CNN's Phil Mattingly House and Senate Republicans struck a tentative deal on a tax bill Wednesday, a major step in ensuring the GOP majority is on its way to deliver an overhaul of the US tax system by the holidays.... While the official bill hasn't been released yet, these are the details we're expecting to see: The corporate rate would be reduced to 21%, from 35%. That is an additional point added from the 20% originally proposed in the House and Senate versions. It would take effect in 2018. The top individual tax rate would be set at 37%, down from the 39.6% proposed in the House and 38.5% in the Senate. The State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction will be expanded, beyond just property taxes, to include income tax. It would be capped at $10,000. The corporate alternative minimum tax, included at the last minute in the Senate version, would be fully repealed. The individual alternative minimum tax would remain, but the threshold would be tweaked to exclude any individual under $500,000 or family below $1 million. The mortgage interest deduction threshold dropped to $500,000 in the House and left untouched in the Senate would be set at $750,000. The rate for pass-through income business entities like s-corporations and partnerships that pay taxes through the individual side would be determined by a 20% deduction, 3% lower than the Senate version. The estate tax exemption would be doubled, but the tax would not be repealed entirely, as it was in the House proposal. The Obamacare individual mandate to have health insurance would be repealed. It is the middle of summer - A beautiful time in America - We are still waiting for the Revolutionary Tax Plan that President Trump promised. It is our hope that the President and the Congress can come together to provide relief for the poor and the middle class of America. Also, do not smack the rich - they provide most of the taxes collected. We are looking for a tax plan that is well thought about and futuristic. The poor and the middle class while we need to encourage the rich to create wealth.

Looking forward to tax cut ideas of President Trump. Hopefully, he will help ordinary people like you and me. In his state of the union speech last night, he talked about cutting the corporate tax rate. Good idea. Also, he should tax corporations on worldwide income, just like individuals are taxed. God bless America

Tax season is always exciting in our office. This is not the experience of everyone coming to our office. Just this morning we filed a return with a refund of $28,000. We thank God that we are able to help so many people.

Praying for a successful tax season 2017. We are in full swing with tax filings. IRS started accepting returns on Jan 23rd. However, refunds will be delayed until the late part of February for those that claim Earned Income Credit.

IRS Delays Start of 2014 Tax Filing Season The IRS will start accepting and processing 2013 individual tax returns on January 31, 2014. The original start date of the 2014 filing season was January 21, 2014, but due to the government shutdown, this was delayed. We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused many of our clients waiting for refunds. We encourage you to make appointments and complete the tax filing process early. We will keep everything ready and file your taxes promptly on the 31st of January.
