It was really cool to be able to see Kobe speak and meet him. One thing he said that I thought was really powerful was he doesn’t negotiate with himself. He told a story about running 200 meter sprints. He committed to 20 of them. Half way through his legs started to hurt and he wasn’t feeling it. He asked himself what would a quitter do? What would that feel like? Is that why they always get second place? How often do we commit to something and take the easy way out?
