The jury has spoken....NOT GUILTY! RLG Investigations does it AGAIN and saves another life. When the international community calls on you, it's one of the best feelings, knowing you're doing something right. After a two week jury trial that I've been in with Attorney, Phillip Cohen who does an outstanding job in trial, 20 year old international college student from India, Manish Kumar is found innocent of all charges! Manish is an international student from India who only a...fter being in the United States for 4 weeks was falsely accused of 6 counts of rape. Manish is an accomplished tennis player who came to the United States to earn a 4 year scholarship. However, within the first 4 weeks, a roommate of his brought home a female co-worker who would eventually make false allegations against the international student. With no friends or family in the United States, Manish's family in India had to place their trust in someone who they felt would save their son's life! This was a case that I've had since August of 2014 but just this week 6 counts of Rape, 1.5 years later, 2 week jury trial and the jurors said we won the case within the first 20 minutes. Look for a press conference to be held tomorrow afternoon.

It's amazing how God works. Before Jamie Fox who's real name is Eric Bishop was known for the movie "Ray" he was my client. Another great result yesterday for one of our clients in the Los Angeles criminal courts, LAX division. Yesterday's sex case was resolved quickly and quietly yesterday afternoon after several months of negotiated talks, examination of evidence and polygraph/lie detection tests of our client. From a life time exposure of sexual registration after 15 years of prison, RLG Investigation's client receives 3 years of probation, misdemeanor sex with minor and 75 hours of community ...service. After 3 years of probation, the misdemeanor case is expunged from the clients record. This case involved two high school kids who got involved in a sexual relationship. Without getting into the details and lies told, the case was resolved in everyone's best interest. Our client was 18 but the other student was 16 and still considered a child. Though there is only a 2 year age difference, 18 year olds are considered adults and in the state of California, that relationship is technically illegal.

I haven't shared any of my criminal investigation cases in awhile but today I feel a need to share a few thoughts based on the last sex assault cases I have handled. Btw, I've won each of those cases. Here are a few thoughts that I think parents need to discuss with their age appropriate children... 1). For the boys: Boys, if you are older than your female partner you need to understand once you turn 18...you are an Adult! Being 1-2 years older dating and having sex in mid...dle school through high school is one thing but once you turn 18 and you are having sex with a girl who is 15,16,17 understand it's a crime. To make matters worse, if the girl is 14 and there are plenty having sex at that age, it's now "child molestation." You will face serious prison time as well as be required to register every year as a sex offender. Parents...educate your kids. 2). For the girls: Boys DON'T want to cuddle. The new craze is now called a "cuddle buddy." Cuddle buddies are suppose to just cuddle. No such thing girls. Boys get excited and eventually want something. This is where things often go wrong. 3). Boys: don't be assholes to girls after sex...95% of my sex cases are due to guys being jerks AFTER. Be the same nice guy you were before you got the cookies. If you lie, schmooze, trick then become a jerk, be prepared for a girl to make an allegation wether it's true or false. 4). Girls: Don't be so easy. Guys are tricky. The good guys will respect and take their time. If you choose to be easy and put yourself out there, don't be surprised. A lot of boys watch porn. They often think all girls are the same. Be careful. If you choose to put yourself out there...don't create a lie to get the boy in trouble. 5). Parents: If your daughter makes an allegation...don't be naive. False allegations destroy lives and there are no refund checks from lawyers, bail bondsman or investigators. Children lie for many reasons. Be supportive but be a good investigator yourself. Sex can be a scary thing for children. Things can and often do go wrong. Parents, loosen up and don't put your kids in a position to lie. Once a lie is told children only dig themselves deeper and the results are far more damaging.

Our agency was handling inmate abuse and death cases in the Los Angeles County jails many years before the election year made it popular to blow the whistle.
