As an interior designer, I get to connect artists with my clients. Sometimes it takes me years to sell an artist's work. I'm constantly collecting different works of art to incorporate into my projects. I'm super excited that my clients are going to purchase a piece of art from http://www.annekyyroquinn.com. I saw her work at the ICFF show in NYC years ago and fell in love with her style. I call her the queen of felt walls! Tulip Art Coming Soon....

Daniel Libeskind pushes boundaries with his architecture. In San Francisco he designed the Jewish museum across the street from Yerba Buena Park. I love the juxtapose design of this building because it shows the beauty of how modern can merge with traditional. Also it is never too late to make your dreams come true. He completed his first building at the age of 52.

Which house would you live in? As you stay isolated and maybe find the parks more crowded then you would like. Stroll your neighborhood and take in the architecture. Notice and appreciate the thought that went into everything from the roofline to the door handles. #bernalheights

I always say rugs are art on the floor. My client just purchased a one of kind Beni Ourain rug. These rugs are traditionally handwoven by the women in the villages of the Middle Atlas Mountain region in Morocco. The sheep in this area are raised on the high elevations which makes the wool a thick and sumptuous pile. The symbols and motifs refer to the cultural ancestral of the Berber people. They tell the story of their habits, daily life, adventures, wisdom, love, pride and ...the deepest aspect of their existence. Each rug tells a different story. Berber women were shy to express their feelings, and some were illiterate so the woven rugs were an opportunity for them to show what was hidden in their hearts and to tell their stories. Berber women were painters and the rugs were paintings! " BARLEY- rectangle filled with a checkered pattern of light and dark, a symbol of fertility BIRD-Resembles a cross made of intersecting rectangles. It’s to carry baraka, a sort of divine power they believe that is to ward off misfortune. Heal the sick or bring good luck EYE-Concentric diamond pattern that symbolizes protection against the evil eye. The cross in its center deflects evil in four directions. FROG-An ornate diamond design featuring small diamonds on top and bottom, the frog represents fertility and magical rites. SCISSORS-This X shape is a symbol of metal workers and offers respect to metal to ward it off. SNAKE AND FISH SKELETONS-A series of four vertical designs that represent a holy person with magical and medicinal skills. "
