No one wants to keep living with joint pain, inhibiting them from the things the love doing. Prolotherapy is a great option to get you back to being you again. Schedule a free 15 minute consult to see if prolotherapy or PRP is the right fit for you.

2021. New Year = New Goals. How do you keep your progress going for more than just a few months?? #1. Make small, attainable goals rather than one huge, lofty goal. Instead of saying you need to lose 15 pounds, start with losing 0.5-1 lb a week. (unless you start obsessing weekly, then change it up to losing 2-4 lbs a month). The goal is sustainability. #2. Create a plan &/or make a vision board. Don’t have time for your goals? If it’s that important to you, you can and will... make time. Buy a planner, schedule it in, and write out what you need to do weekly and monthly to achieve the main goal. Vision boards are great motivation. Put it up somewhere you will be forced to see it daily. #3. Getting rid of toxicity is one of, if not the, most important step in achieving new goals. If you are surrounded by people who bring you or your goals down, you are less likely to carry them out. Negative thoughts are toxic too. Change that to having gratitude, so you are in the mindset of getting closer to achieving your goals. #4. Accountability. Do it with a family member or friend (or FB groups). Or meet with your healthcare practitioner monthly if it’s health-related. (It also helps if your doc works at a place with a gym attached ). Having someone that shares your goals and surrounding yourself with people who are rooting you on make it more likely to achieve them. #5. Be consistent. Yes, motivation gets you there, but dedication and consistency are what keep you on track. Just take it day by day and try not to think about if you’re going to meet your ultimate goal in just one or two weeks (see #1). Start low and slow. This is where planning helps. #6. Actually, I lied. The most important tip is to GIVE YOURSELF GRACE. Everything in moderation. Don’t be too strict on yourself, otherwise you will rebound. It’s okay if you have a sweet treat here and there. Just don’t beat yourself up about it. The relationship you have with eating and exercise needs to change from one of punishment to one of appreciation. Appreciate what you can achieve and what your body can do. Thank yourself for what you’ve accomplished already and get back on the train tomorrow. If you need someone to walk with you every step of the way on your journey toward wellness, I’m always here to help! Don’t be afraid to DM me, email me ([email protected]), or make an appointment with me (link in bio; telemedicine available too).
