http://fox40.com//01/15/donate-a-valentine-to-cards-for-k/ This past weekend, the residents did their part in making Valentine's Day cards for sick kids in hospitals. When they were told who they were going to, they were happy to be apart of putting some smiles on some little sick ones. Next year, we will try and double the amount of cards we make.

Yesterday, at Kaiser while waiting for the doctor for one of my resident for annual checkup, my resident's wife started to talk about how glad she is to have her husband at my care home. She said, "Rueben, I notice your residents don't get sick really, barely any flu or colds." "I've seen some pretty bad care homes before finding yours." "Thank you for taking care of my husband, I don't know what I would do without Riley-MacK." I would have sworn we were in a commercial, but it was just her showing her appreciation for what we do. I'm Thankful for my great staff, which is not easy to find.

Its pretty hot out there this weekend, be sure that everyone, especially your elderly family members and friends stay hydrated!
