Wow I just can’t win this.. . Several years ago my brother decided to give my mom a new fridge as a Mother’s Day gift. Who does that? . The very next year my sister decided to take my mom on a Eastern Europe getaway. The upmanship in my family tends to get extreme. Very.. Extreme!... . While checking out one of the newer spot that serves European cuisine with a touch of Japanese have given me ideas. Love their Lamb Racks with Truffle purée and asparagus. The meal was quite inspiring on where to take her for Mother’s Day when I get the chance. . Apparently not for 2021... or 2022. . One of them is getting ready to announce the engagement news. The other one is expecting a brand new bundle of joy by Christmas. So with that unexpected turns of news and events, both the wedding and baby is happening next year apparently. . The gig is up. . Someone inadvertently dry snitched me out to my mom on that I have an Instagram account. For the past few weeks I decided to get rid of any dishes that I can make because you know... money shouldn’t spent on rice and beans. . It took me awhile to either archive photos or scrubbed out any existence of my life that I might mentioned on the captions.... . It was brutal. . Honestly I don’t remembered. . It was one of those photos that is some photo album backlog somewhere. Figuring out certain stuffs about dining out took some extra time and effort. For instance, some places are still closed for dining, but still take reservations (?). . Then I found out from certain feedback and reviews in that some restaurants won’t bring out silverwares, plates, and glasses (ie they don’t hired dishwashers and cut other costs in doing bare minimum). . Getting those out of the way, I was somewhat relieved in that one of my dining experience in over a year was... actually successful. I missed interacting with the staff. Sometimes servers and bartenders are the best at letting you know what is truly great out there. Missed the drinks. Definitely did not missed drinking from a plastic cup vs a clean cocktail glass. . Lo and behold, Diver Scallops!
