15 years ago I returned to the RI Flying Club after a 12 year hiatus. I was introduced to Gil McNay, the Chief Pilot of the club. He worked with me as I blew out the cobwebs and gain proficiency in the left seat again. He then became my CFII as I earned my Instrument Rating. We would fly annually for competency. He knew my weaknesses and would humbly nudge me. He had the gift of teaching. A great mentor and friend with a heart of gold. The Good Lord took him home Tues, Mar 16. He is gone but will never be forgotten. GodSpeed
