The Holiday season is here and we’re here to give back Once again, we are collecting for Toys For Tots to benefit local children that are now more than ever in need this holiday season. The mission of the San Diego U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys through December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to children in need within the community. These toys make a tremendous difference in the lives of the child...ren and families that receive them gratefully. The last day to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the leasing office is Tuesday, December 15th. The biggest need is for toys for children within the age range of 6 to 12 yrs old. Take the opportunity to grab a toy during the great sales going on to brighten a child's holiday! Because the impact of the pandemic is so widespread, some of our residents may find their family is in need this year and would benefit by being a recipient of Toys for Tots. International Women's Day is March 8. For the month of March, we'll take action by partnering with the YWCA and holding a Donation Drive for Household Goods, that will benefit Becky's House, which provides housing and supportive services for women, men, and children in need of immediate protection from their abusers in a secure, confidential facility. We are asking for your support in gathering household items for members of our city who are in need. We will be accepting new items such as household goods, cookware, dinnerware sets, bath towels, bath mats, shower curtains, cooking utensils, flatware sets, kitchen towels, etc. Baby items- baby wipes and diapers will be needed as well. Donations are being collected in the leasing office during business hours.
