Sonoma Raceway has opened up their 50 acre campground to evacuees. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone effected by these horrendous fires!

Mike jumped on an airplane almost 8 years ago to New Mexico! He bought this bike from a local firefighter and rode it solo home to Vallejo where the build began. What do you guys and gals think of this custom build? [SWIPE LEFT FOR BEFORE] (TBars/Thunderheader/windshield were all added on in second Pic after he flew back) #Whereitallbegan #rideonmotorcycles707 #vallejo #firstharleydavidson #custommotorcycle #customharley #dyna #fxdxt #dynafxdxt #tuesdaythoughts

FDNY firefighter Tim Duffy wasn’t at work the day of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, yet this true American hero donned his firefighter gear and rode his 2000 Super Glide Sport into lower Manhattan to help however he could. No four-wheeled vehicles could get through, but he made it to the base of the World Trade Center South Tower just as it began to collapse. He was buried in debris along with many others, however, he managed to free himself and was able to help... save people who'd been seriously injured. Duffy retired from the FDNY due to health problems from breathing in the toxic dust, and since then, has continued his efforts to help others. He founded 1 Soldier 1 Dog 1 Team, a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) education and training together teams of veterans and first responders and support dogs rescued from shelters. The events that transpired during and after 9/11 changed the life of Allen Tannenbaum, the photographer who captured this iconic shot, just as it did thousands of others. Tannenbaum began documenting the story of the hidden victims as he termed it: not only the thousands that died that fateful day, but those that have suffered from serious and often fatal diseases due to the toxins releases as well as those that suffer from PTSD and other illnesses. Just thinking about the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon (my sister worked for the federal government in D.C. then), and the failed attempt on Washington, thanks to the bravery of the crew and passengers on Flight UA 93, is extremely difficult for me, as it is for many. My office was in 2 World Trade Center. I happened to be on vacation from work that day, far away from Manhattan. I was lucky. Thousands of others were not. If you want to find out what really happened, and how these attacks could have been prevented by our government officials, watch the documentary The Road to 9/11 that originally aired on History Channel in 2017. No blood or gore (I can’t watch those re-enactments even now), but ample proof of the hard truth. And this is no conspiracy theory. The fascinating, thoroughly-detailed three-part documentary is well worth watching if you can find it on any of your streaming services. Most importantly, though... never forget. #neverforget # #rideonmotorcycles707 #vallejocalifornia
