While your home or office might be a priority for the spring cleaning madness, one place you shouldn’t neglect to clean is your car.

With a majority of vehicle owners living in areas of the country that have stay-at-home orders, many vehicles may be sitting idle for days or weeks at a time. The non-profit Car Care Council recommends starting your car at least once a week and keeping up with routine auto care to help prevent potential maintenance issues.

National Car Care Month in April is the perfect time for simple driveway car care to make sure your vehicle is operating safely and dependably for essential trips during this trying time, says the Car Care Council.

I know we are all doing our best at disinfecting surfaces and cleaning our hands. Another thing to keep clean is the interior of our cars. Something I think most of us over look. Stay safe and stay healthy!!!

You need clean air to breathe and so does your car, and a vehicle’s air filters make that possible. The non-profit Car Care Council reminds car owners to have the engine and cabin air filters inspected and changed regularly to ensure vehicle longevity and interior comfort.

To all of our valued friends and their families. The team at Rick’s Car Care wants everyone to know that we take the safety and security of your families as seriously as we take our own. Due to the global pandemic of Covid-19 we have altered our methods and procedures in vehicle handling and customer contact to assure that everyone can feel safe and secure in the service we provide. All of these methods are used upon arrival, delivery and pickup of vehicle. Interior and exter...ior door handles, keys, steering wheel, shift lever or manual shift knob, turn signal switch, light function switches, hood release lever, seat belts and anything else deemed necessary to perform the required repair or service are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Steering wheel covers, seat covers and floor mats are used on every vehicle after sanitization. Protective coverings will be removed and discarded at time of delivery or drop off. Technicians entering your vehicle will be wearing a clean pair of latex gloves and gloves will not be used from one vehicle to the next. To limit person to person contact and implement social distancing we are urging customers to utilize our after hours drop box even during normal business hours. We also are utilizing digital inspection process that we can send to you either by email or text message so any needed services can be discussed and approved over the phone or email. We are offering payment over the phone via credit card and can email or text final invoices. While we understand that there will be friends and family that are not comfortable bringing their car in to be serviced, we will be offering vehicle pickup and delivery at no charge. Vehicles will still receive the same vigorous cleaning whether at a residence or at our shop, as well as when it is returned or picked up. Due to the issues we face we will not be offering a waiting area or shuttle service for customers. We do understand there may be some customers that need to come in to the customer service area. After each and every customer leaves customer service area, All surfaces anyone comes in contact with are cleaned with disinfecting wipes. (ie. counter tops, credit card terminal, door handles, ect.) All of us at Ricks Car Care want to make sure that you and your family’s vehicles can perform in times of need. We are in that time. We are all in this together. Your family is our family.
