Construction of Phase 1 of the Richmond Wellness Trail is progressing. The General Contractor (Ghilotti Bros., Inc.) will continue to install the storm drain ma...in line on Marina Way South from Virginia Avenue to Maine Avenue. The storm drain work is anticipated to continue through early July. During the latter part of July, the contractor will start work on the rain gardens. See more

Construction of the Via Verdi Slope Stabilization project continued this week. The work includes construction of a culvert in San Pablo Creek, earthwork and ut...ility work, reconstruction of the damaged portion of Via Verdi Drive, and removal of the temporary detour road. Until the new road repairs are complete, safe access for traveling in both directions along Via Verdi Drive will be maintained at all times. Activity for the next week will include starting rebar installation and continuing excavating for the new culvert. See more

FIRE AND POLICE TOY PROGRAM REGISTRATION SAVE THE DATE As many of you know, for over 30 years The Richmond Fire and Police Toy Program has provided needed food..., toys and bicycles to West Contra Costa County families in need during the holidays. We know this year because of the health order, we cannot hold the gathering we normally have. We also know many families are struggling. Despite the COVID pandemic the Toy Program board led by Police and Fire has still elected to go forward with a modified event and provide gift cards to families in need. Registration will occur online only, and will begin November 1st. We will provide a link for registration once it launches. Registration will be first come, first served until the placed are filled.
