The path of YOU...

Rhea Mistades, CHT, LMFT Psychotherapist and Healer 13.06.2021

We must be willing to face the most devious of ourselves. Yes you heard me, the most devious parts that hide, Manipulate and keep you from shining your truth. ...We all have them. So many times we ask for healing but there’s a part of us so used to the conflict that we don’t want to let it go. Think about it. Feel into it. Face it. What part of you can’t let go of the conflict? Why? Well there is great energy in conflict. And like anything you’ve practiced over and over you e become really good at it. Letting go of it means you have to start from scratch and that can be scary. Many people would rather deal with the devil they know than face the unknown. So let’s be honest. You deserve that. Once you can be honest. Then there’s a chance the healing can begin. Sometimes it's not your nature. Sometimes its your trauma. It’s an important distinction. We don’t want to make the assumption that all of our personality trait...s are fundamental to who we are. Sometimes they are, but sometimes they were shaped by our traumatic life experiences. Sometimes they developed as adaptations, defenses and disguises to uncomfortable realities. And sometimes they have outlived their usefulness, and are ready to be shed so we can actually align with our true nature. So, next time you self-describe, take a close look at your list of attributes. And ask these simple questions: Is this trait intrinsic to my true nature, or is it a coping strategy birthed in trauma? Is this truly me, or is this just a habitual way of being that no longer serves me? See more
