Message from Supervisor Kuehl - Safer At Home Neighbors, The new normal of these trying times has made it abundantly clear that the rapidly evolving COVID-19 impacts have dramatically changed virtually every aspect of our daily lives. So I’m urging every one of my constituents to stay safe, stay up to date and informed, and make sure you are all connected to the services you need. Los Angeles County and our many partners are taking every action we believe necessary to help ...slow the spread of the COVID-19. The County issued an Executive Order to further restrict and limit the gathering of persons and require the closure of malls, shopping centers, children's playgrounds, and non-essential retail businesses in an effort to stem or slow the spread of COVID-19 within the greater Los Angeles community. A copy of the Executive Order can be viewed here: http://file.lacounty.gov//1070029_COVID-19_SaferAtHome_Hea If you are an essential worker and can’t stay home, thank you for helping us get through this. For all the rest of usstay home as much as possible. You can go outside to hike or run or walk the dog, but please keep your distance from others. People over the age of 65 or with preexisting conditions, please do your best to stay at home. Those of you who are healthy and at lower risk, check in on your neighbors, particularly those who may be unable to get outside to get groceries or medicine. I highly recommend regularly visiting https://covid19.lacounty.gov/ for the latest news and updates from Public Health, as well as information on Cal Fresh food assistance programs, small business loans, unemployment insurance, facility closures, and much more. And thank YOU for stepping up to do whatever you can to protect yourselves and your community. Sheila Kuehl Los Angeles County Supervisor, Third District

Sad to see this but as people think they won't get ill and are hiking a few feet from each other, then our Mayor will close the park. I want to thank both our mayor and our governor for everything they are doing to keep us safe.
