RFE has provided surveying and civil design services for the new Legacy Propane headquarters in Loomis, CA. The work included boundary and topographic survey, onsite and offsite improvements, new public sewer line, landscaping, building renovation, parking, and bike path construction. The last photo is of our superstar surveyors, Bill and Taylor, performing construction staking for the contractor.

RFE has a long time client in Markley Cove Marina at Lake Berryessa. Over the years we have assisted with the planning and development of their marina providing surveying and civil engineering design for expansion of their facilities. During the recent fires in Napa County, Markley Cove was ravaged by one of the wildfires and not one land structure was spared. Attached is the before and after pictures of the marina. As devastating as this is our clients are strong and resilient and plan to rebuild as soon as possible.

Progress pictures of the Mercy Retirement and Care Center Repositioning project located in Oakland, CA. RFE Engineering was involved in providing construction staking for Deacon Construction on this new facility. Construction started in June of 2019 with completion scheduled for the end of 2021.

Sage Alta Loma is a senior care and assisted living facility. The development is ground up construction with a 90,000+ square foot, two story with basement level building, situated on a 3.11 acre site. RFE Engineering was responsible for the design of both building and site retaining walls in order to accommodate the large building footprint on the moderately sloped site. RFE also designed the domestic water service, fire suppression service, sanitary sewer and storm drain... facilities. As part of the County of San Bernardino Areawide Stormwater Program, RFE implemented low impact development (LID) site stormwater practices including underground infiltration and proprietary filtration. RFE’s involvement with the project began in 2017 during the conceptual phase, continued through the planning and entitlements of the project, and completed the approved civil construction documents in late 2019. RFE has been heavily involved during the construction assistance phase of the project to date. The project is currently under construction. See more

RFE recently completed construction on a new flood control berm for the new Department of Health & Human Services Indian Health Service - Sacred Oaks youth treatment facility in Davis, CA. The purpose of the berm is to prevent the site from being inundated by floodwaters during peak storm events. The project included earthwork, floodplain modeling, and a pump station.

The Amazing Facts World Headquarters project is nearing completion. This multi-million dollar project sitting atop a beautiful 20-acre site has undergone numerous changes over its nearly two-decade-long history, but construction on the building and site is all but complete, and the church will soon be hosting services (albeit in a much different capacity than originally planned now that COVID-19 has shaken up church ministry in 2020). RFE has been involved with the improvement plans and construction since 2014 and we’re excited to see its opening day!

RFE Engineering has been selected to provide design level topographic surveying on the US 50 Rebuild project. The work includes 7.7 miles of highway reconstruction and widening from Watt Avenue to I-5 in both directions in addition to various side streets around the WX elevated freeway section. The work will also include the completion of the HOV lanes from Watt to I-5. The design survey work will be done in Summer and Fall, 2020. Construction to begin in late 2020 and be substantially completed by December 2023.

California Conservation Corps (CCC) Greenwood is located in the town of Greenwood in El Dorado County. There is an existing CCC facility already built at the site with twelve buildings including; administration, education, dormitories, workshops, recreational and multipurpose use buildings. The proposed project will include the demolition of all the buildings with the exception of two, and it will also include the demolition of the majority of the site paving and flat work. ... Eleven new buildings are proposed to be constructed along with new site paving, utilities, and amenities. There is no public sanitary sewer in the area, so the site is on septic. The existing septic system that has served the site in the past is not functioning well and is in constant need of maintenance. RFE has been tasked with designing a new septic system that will serve all 11 of the new buildings. The project is currently in the early phases of design but we hope to have the project permitted and ready for construction in early 2021. See more

Sierra Oaks Estates brings new homes situated in Colfax, CA, which is just an hour jaunt up I-80 towards Tahoe. RFE provided surveying, civil engineering, and construction staking over the last 4 years and currently 18 of the total 34 homes are either fully constructed or under construction. The Phase 2 part of the project, Village Oaks, is just next door and will be a future 39 home development.

Sea, Air, Land - We use every tool at our disposal to find creative solutions for our clients. RFE provided field survey for the design and construction of a new seawall to reduce flooding in Library Park from Clear Lake in the City of Lakeport.

The Sacramento International Airport received a grant to build a new aircraft rescue and firefighting building...

This vacant lot at 1417 20th Street will soon be used to help relieve Sacramento’s desperate housing shortage. A new duplex is under construction in this historic midtown neighborhood. RFE provided site design including grading, drainage, and utility improvements as well as a design to improve the deteriorated Neighbor’s Alley entrance along the frontage. RFE is currently providing staking to the contractor to support the construction effort.

This new 7-story mixed-used building project in downtown Sacramento is under construction. RFE provided surveying, civil engineering, and construction staking services over the last 2 years to see this come to fruition.
