Last practice for Marching Wildcats before Championships Saturday at Martin L. King HS in Riverside! Send them luck!

So there's a marching band out there trying to rehearse for Championships. Is this acceptable? 4 years at this school, and this is still what happens.

REV Football and Marching Wildcats showing pride and spirit at the REV v Heritage game played at RHS Dodge Stadium. Both of these teams spend hundreds of hours practicing for these moments, and both of these teams continually make it to their individual championships. Still not enough to have the District show interest in making REV whole with its own stadium. #allredlandskidsmatter #equity4REV

I made this 4 years ago. Possibly, if it's shared enough, we can build community support like the skate park received. REV kids deserve equity!

Started our 4th year at REV -- no stadium, no stadium lights, poorly kept up fields. This is REV's 21st year of operation. Will they have to wait 100 years like RHS did, or will Redlands Unified bring a measure to the voters like they so eagerly did for Citrus Valley?

Hi, everyone! Well, here we are at the start of yet another school year, and Redlands East Valley HS still does not have a stadium. There is absolutely no plans by the District to build a stadium either. Continue to spread the word and ask questions of the district administration and school Board members. Since the school is getting ready to celebrate it's 20th anniversary next year, it sure would be nice to at least see the District making an effort to make REV whole with its own stadium.

Imagine the day that this is the view other high schools will see when attending functions at the REV Stadium! Our gorgeous corner of Redlands -- still pure and untouched by traffic and noise of big business. Photo captured by Tricia Vlasak Deasee.

Sat down today and had a short face-to-face with Bernie Cavanaugh, Redlands Unified School District Facilities Director. He has only been in the position for three months, coming from being Principal at Citrus Valley HS. So today was basically giving him a list of questions that he will in turn do some research on and get back to me. Many of the questions were things that have been discussed and rumors have been shared. I would like to get the facts so that moving forward..., we know exactly what happened in the past with regards to funding, etc., and we have a clear picture of what we are dealing with moving forward. One of the biggest concerns that faces RUSD at the present time is The Harmony Project on property between Highland & Mentone that will add over 3600 homes to the area. (For more info and to join the fight against this, go to abetterhighland.net) This will cause RUSD to build at least one more elementary school. Also, the housing boom that has occurred near Loma Linda is also requiring the need for an additional middle school. I explained to Mr. Cavanaugh that I know that the school district has all kids' best interest in mind; however, we do need to have at least a long-term plan in place to support the students of REV to be allowed to enjoy the same amenities as their sister schools without the added time to travel to and from home events as well as the extra expenditures incurred in traveling for those home events. More news to come as it becomes available! Keep spreading the word and sharing this page with your friends and neighbors! See more
