Have you tried our new summer coffees? Fresh batches of Zambia & Guatemala were just roasted this morning and will hit the shelf early next week. Consistency is a significant goal in our roasting program. We upgraded our (approaching) vintage @probatroasters L5 roaster with thermocouple probes that monitor temperatures in both the roasting drum air space and the bean mass tumbling inside the roaster. Data is collected, tracked, and displayed via Artisan, an open-source coffee... roasting software developed for both home and production roasters. Our roaster also sports upgraded gas controls with a little help from friends @ignitebyjoe in order to provide micro-adjustments to our heat levels while roasting. In order to achieve that mark of consistency, we trial a certain roast combination of temperature and time, cup it to see how it tastes, then tweak it or save it and roast again, using previous data collected for reference. Each new coffee we bring in has its own unique set of characteristics and flavors, and we love getting to meet new coffee and working to bring out the best in it - so we can share it with you and your friends! Hey Revive Community Meet Jenna! She joined our team a few weeks ago. Our top recruiter Emily found Jenna all the way in Amarillo, Texas. [UPDATED 7/4/20] We in Tuolumne County have been fortunate that the cases of COVID-19 have been extremely low compared to other parts of our state, and country. This is an ongoing, dynamic situation affecting our community. We are monitoring updates daily and working transparently with our local public health department to understand and adapt appropriately. In this process, we have identified some implementation and sanitation challenges - specifically regarding face coverin...gs - that will continue to be addressed as we create systems to ensure adequate levels of service, with appropriate safeguards. Here is what we have implemented currently, and are grateful for your help to do so thoughtfully and respectfully: SANITATION: HAND WASHING: We are providing a hand washing sink at our entrance for guests to use. SANITIZING: We are continuously sanitizing work spaces and equipment, as well as frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high touch surfaces and seating areas. CLEANING: Our bathroom is available for use and is sanitized hourly, and stocked with soap and disposable hand towels regularly. PROTECTION: PRE-SHIFT: Before beginning a shift all employees complete an 11-question health pre-screening form MONITOR: we ask our employees and guests to regularly self-monitor for illness and stay home as appropriate. SPACE: Provide 6 feet of space from other people whenever possible. MASKS: Masks have been mandated to be worn when you enter a public space. Face coverings may be removed while eating and drinking. We are aware of the exemptions and will honor those. SERVICE: ORDERING: Use our mobile app, or call to place your order. Our Lavender Lemonade is back! To be honest it never left, but today it gets the spotlight. Our lavender syrup by @holykakow is made in small batches with organic ingredients. It’s delicious and refreshing! Lavender fans, where you at!?

It’s warming up outside, which means a lot of iced coffee! We are currently brewing up our Base Camp blend for iced coffee. Smooth and a little sweet, it’s perfect on its own, but the nutty tasting notes are complimented by a little cream. Do you take your iced coffee black, or with cream? Either way you can’t deny how dreamy these creamy swirls look.

Cortado. 2 oz of our Confluence house blend espresso and 2 oz of gently steamed milk. It lets the espresso speak for itself, complimented by a little sweetness from the milk. We love sharing fun coffee brewing tips with you! If you are looking to up your coffee brewing at home, one of the first things you can try is to use a scale to precisely measure out your coffee. Have you ever made the same coffee using the same brew method two days in a row, yet got different results? A scoop or a tablespoon is helpful when measuring out coffee, but they don’t always yield the same amount of grounds. Growing conditions and roast level are just two factors th...at can affect the end weight of different coffees. Using a scale helps you get a more precise measurement, yielding consistently delicious results. A good starting point is to brew with a ratio of 16:1, water to coffee. Weigh out 25 grams of coffee and brew with 400 grams of filtered water. Pro science bonus tip: grams=mL, so you don’t have to weigh out your water, just use the metric side of your measuring cup.
