PUMPKIN SEED OIL is a wondrous oil that I absolutely love, drizzled over pumpkin soup with some roasted pepitas and a dollop of crème fraîche. But this is not why I am writing about pumpkin seed oil. First of all, it is not made from the seeds of your Halloween Jack’o’lantern. Those seeds, which are also delicious salted and roasted, have a thick hull. The pumpkin seeds used for the oil are almost hull-less, which makes them easier to process. They often come from a pretty st...riped green and orange pumpkin called Lady Godiva. Pumpkin seed oil is excellent for acne-prone skin, as it has anti-inflammatory properties. It is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and more. Its comedogenic rating is 2, which means it is not likely to clog your pores. By comparison, coconut oil or cocoa butter have a rating of 4, which means that over time they can clog pores and cause breakouts. Hemp seed oil, on the other hand, has a comedogenic rating of0!!! Pumpkin seed oil contains zinc and vitamin C (great for tightening the skin), lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamin E (all of which protect the skin from sun damage, improve skin tone and slow the aging process). You can mix pumpkin seed oil with meadowfoam seed oil (which is lightweight) and a few drops of your favorite essential oil to create a nice cleansing oil!

Natural fragrances are gentler and blend better with your natural body chemistry. A dominant perfume that stays with you all day long is too much and ends up numbing your senses (and everyone else's around you!). Here are a few tips, however, on how to make your natural fragrance lin...ger a bit longer: * Apply your natural fragrance on damp skin (like right after your shower). * Moisturize your skin before applying It will not evaporate as fast. * Use a few products that will layer the same fragrance, like a body oil, and the matching fragrance oil or eau de toilette. * Choose blends that include base notes, which will add depth and lasting power to the scent (cedarwood, sandalwood, amber, patchouli, oakmoss, vanilla etc...) * Don’t rub your fragrance after applying You will break down the delicate top notes and it will dissipate faster! * In addition to the usual pulse points, apply also to the lower parts of your body like the back of your knees. * Do not leave your fragrance in the light or heat. Keep it as much as possible in a dark, cool place. Remember that essential oils have therapeutic benefits that add so much to your overall well-being. So re-apply whenever your energy level drops and you need to be uplifted.

There are no toxic inks printed on them. Just soak them thoroughly and shred them. Then add them to your compost pile. Actually, cardboard is good for improving the texture of your compost because it creates air pockets. And microbes need oxygen to do their job!
