A truly UNIQUE bottling from Release Winery. Multi-vintage Napa Valley Rosé. 100 first bottles released. Admittedly a bit of a tease (as the wine is only availa...ble through my Mailing List) but I thought my fellow FB wine geeks would get a kick out of hearing about this never-seen-before wine. Crafted from saignée of Cabernet Sauvignon juice, bled off within 24 hours from the regular CS must and made in a "Solera-style", blending of multiple vintages, this one-of-a-kind Napa wine in its inaugural release contains almost equal parts Rosé wine from 7 vintages, from 2010-2016. Future releases will include subsequent vintages. With inspiration from the Clairet wines (a type of dark Rosé/lightly colored red wine) from the Bordeaux region, the goal was to craft something unique from Napa. Not realizing what popularity this type of wine would gain these days, I started this back in 2010 with the hope of making a Rosé "in its own league". Far from an after-thought this is in fact a project I've devoted much attention to and have been eager to share for close to 7 years now! Versatile with a myriad of dishes this wine (depending on serving temperature) is intended to be enjoyed both as a refreshing rosé and/or a lighter-bodied red wine.
