Be prepared for winter conditions during storm event this weekend in mountain regions. Bring chains and use designated chain control areas. Avoid SR 38 due to rock fall or mud flow from El Dorado burn scar - use SR's 18 and 330. NWS https://www.weather.gov/sgx/
Major Announcement - As of 5:00 p,m today, the San Bernardino National Forest, as well as a number of other forests in California, will be closed to all public ...use. The wildfire situation throughout California is dangerous and must be taken seriously. Existing fires are displaying extreme fire behavior, new fire starts are likely, weather conditions are worsening, and we simply do not have enough resources to fully fight and contain every fire, said Randy Moore, Regional Forester for the USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region. We are bringing every resource to bear nationally and internationally to fight these fires, but until conditions improve, and we are confident that National Forest visitors can recreate safely, the priority is always to protect the public and our firefighters. With these extreme conditions, these temporary actions will help us do both. Read the full press release here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/r5/news-events/
If you haven’t already heard, we’d like to unveil The Yard, an expansion to our new outdoor seating area! Come grab a beer or craft cocktail and play some corn hole with us on this beautiful sunny summer day!
On hot days like today, we provide special treats to all the animals to help them cool off. Check out some of our bears enjoying their bear Popsicles - fruit frozen in water overnight. We'll also offer some browse, or foliage, in their pools as well. We're open 10-4 daily.
Takeout for Two Tonight Patio Dining & Cocktails To Go!
