This morning, Friday August 8th, HOPE Sanger was presented with a donation from the Reedley Elks Lodge 2699, in the amount of $833.33. The Gratitude Grant was... presented to the Reedley Elks Lodge from the Elks National Foundation. Elks Member, Nettie Drake, said, this year the grant was specifically designed and focused on COVID-19 and how community organizations are supporting their own community in the midst of the COVID disaster. The check totaled $2,499.99 and was evenly divided between three organizations: HOPE Sanger, Reedley Faith and Open Gate in Dinuba. Reedley Elks Lodge members, Nettie Drake, Danielle Klassen and Ben Drake visited the HOPE Sanger Motel/Center and explained their reason for the donation. Drake continuing to say, So we elected to go after local communities but because the Reedley Elks cover 9 communities and Sanger being one of them. I was very excited that I found HOPE Sanger through my research. The Elks chose the organizations in an attempt to expand their members to other cities to aid students and veterans in the community. In the photo from left to right are Nettie Drake, HOPE Sanger CEO/President Julie Mendoza, HOPE Sanger staff member Delia Posada, Danielle Klassen and Ben Drake. See more
