Two years ago our client sustained a right femur fracture as a result of stepping into a pot hole of a poorly maintained parking lot. Our client underwent immediate surgery which required a plate and 12 screws. Following the surgery, our client was wheelchair bound and required the assistance of a skilled nursing facility to aid in her recovery. Our client suffered tremendously as a result of this accident and we are honored to have fought the insurance companies on her behalf!
Some of Reed & Garcia's largest settlements have come from slip & fall or trip & fall cases. However, premises liability cases can be difficult which is why many personal injury firms do not take them (We Do!). A dangerous condition is not enough to hold a business liable for your injury. The business must also have had actual notice (they knew about it) or constructive notice (they should have known about it) of the dangerous condition in order to be held liable. Sometim...es we have to file a lawsuit to obtain the surveillance video or obtain information about the store's notice (i.e. employee depositions & sweep sheets). Reed & Garcia Law, P.C. represents the injured and their families in Los Angeles, Kern, San Bernardino, Orange, & Riverside County. We strive to be the sword of justice that strikes fear into the hearts of insurance companies that try to deny or delay valid claims. #personalinjuryattorney #personalinjurylawyer #personalinjurylaw

"The Emancipation Proclamation, which abolished slavery, was issued by Abraham Lincoln on Jan. 1, 1863, but it took until 1865 for the last enslaved people to be freed. That's because the proclamation only applied to places under Confederate control, but people in Confederate states weren't the only ones who enslaved people of African descent. In fact, there were border states and rebel territories that continued to keep enslaved people. Texas, as a result, actually became a hotspot for enslavers who fled their states with the people they were enslaving. On June 19, 1865, federal troops, led by General Gordon Granger, arrived in Galveston, Texas, and took control of the state, marking the official end of slavery as the state's 250,000 enslaved people were freed."
"The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the Trump administration's attempt to dismantle the program protecting undocumented immigrants brought to the country as children, a reprieve for nearly 650,000 recipients known as 'dreamers.'"
