Best of Photography Award for the RAA Spring Exhibition online went to Rick Gustafson for his "untiltled Reflection along the 101 corridor.". The digital photograph was created using intentional camera movement techniquess.

First Place Award in the RAA Spring Exhibition online went to Doug Frie for his acrylic "At the Beach." "Freie's paintings have rhythm and color with strong shapes which are my highest rated principles of design." said Hewitt. "I like the emotional content of the figures and animals showing life and quirky fun. To win a high award a painting must grab the viewer and make them feel something. Freie's paintings do that instantly."

"The Leap", an acrylic on canvas by Guy Joy takes top honors in the RAA 62nd Spring Exhibition online. "The leaping boy leapt right into Best of Show effortlessly," said exhibition judge John Hewitt. "It has excellent technique and wonderful spirit of a young man leaping into the futuure he sees as bright. We need kids like that." Th exhibit is open online now at www.redwoodart.us.

The RAA will hold its 62nd Spring Exhibition Online. The Redwood Art Association will hold its 62nd Spring Exhibition online fulfilling its mission to serve artists during this pandemic. Businesses and individuals donated cash and gift certificates valued at more than $3500 for the awards.... Exhibition entry information is available at www.redwoodart.us. Entries will be accepted starting Saturday, May 30. Deadline for entry is 5:00pm Saturday, June 20. The exhibition opens Wednesday, June 24.

The RAA announces award winners in its first Virtual Art Exhibition. First prize goes to 'Cafe Zoetrope', Second to 'Distant Goals', and Third to 'Introspection', a sculpture.
