Everyone, we would like you to meet our sweet boy, Baron. Baron came to us on March 18th, 2020 as a stray. When staff found Baron in the orange groves, he was in inhumane conditions; barely breathing, extremely emaciated and a leg that we really didn’t even have words forhe was suffering. Shelter Supervisor Lemus immediately reached out to shelter partner, RedFosa, and asked if they would be willing to sponsor Baron’s medical bills. RedFosa gave us a resounding YES, so staff... rushed Baron to the vet where he received the medical care he needed to survive. (THANK YOU REDFOSA REDlands Friends Of Shelter Animals (REDFOSA)!!!) Due to the severity of his injuries, his rear leg had to be amputated amongst several other procedures. Once staff got Baron back to the Shelter, his recovery was their #1 mission. Baron stayed in the front office with shelter staff for the entirety of his recovery where he was doted on 24/7. Not only did staff provide all of Baron’s medical care, they also got him potty trained, taught him basic commands, socialized him, took him on car rides to Starbucks (his favorite) and exercised him. Baron was KING of the castle. Baron is just one more example of Redlands Shelter staff’s compassion and dedication to the animals in their care. Baron made a full recovery and we just knew the right family was out there for him. Ensuring he went into the right home, that could provide his long term medical care and understood his personality quirks and the why behind them was vital. Baron was made available for adoption on May 21st. It might have taken a little longer than mostbut the PERFECT family came along and we couldn’t be happier to announce that Baron was adopted on Sept. 12!!!

We received an awesome message from Remy's new family! Thanks to all who adopt from the Redlands Animal Shelter and give our furry friends their forever homes "I just wanted to thank you for making the process of getting our new best friend so easy. It’s been over a month with Remy and we’ve loved every day of it. He has separation anxiety and he has yet to discover how to be fully potty trained but he’s gotten better. Lol. We just try to keep him on a schedule. I took him on a playdate with my previous dog and he did great! He is definitely a cuddle bug!"
