In Autonomy Level 1, we’ve been talking about setting goals and reflecting on them. During quiet time every day, we take time to reflect and see if we’ve accomplished our goals for the day or not yet. Kristin, our Learning Guide, takes time to help our learners think and reflect! Some goals for this week were to show kindness by filling someone’s bucket and inviting someone new to sit with us at break time. Observing closely is an essential practice for driving student curiosity. That’s why it’s one of our core competencies at Red Bridge. Each Friday, Red Bridge students practice looking closely at the world around them. As far as we know, observation is a discipline unique to Red Bridge! Recently in Observation, Red Bridge students learned that if we look closely, everything around us is made up of shapes.
