Happy Fourth of July from the Reardon rooftop on a most beautiful evening! Stay safe and enjoy the night.
Those who died for our country while serving in our armed forces gave their lives freely so that we can live the way we choose to live. Few sacrifices compare. Even fewer selfless acts deserve more of our praise, gratitude and respect. May we all take a moment everyday to remember all who served and died to make The United States of America the greatest country on earth. ... May everyday be Memorial Day.
In honor of Police Appreciation Week, we thought we would give our most excellent Simi Valley Police Department some cards with a little gift and an individual expression of gratitude and support. @simivalleypolicedepartment
Mothers deserve love and appreciation all year round, but it is nice to have a day just for them, so we can show our love that much more. Here's to all of our Mothers! The ones we are still blessed to have, and all of those we may have lost. They are and always will be a part of us forever and they are such a huge part of why we are who we are. Love you Mom!
Happy first official day of Spring! What is your favorite thing about spring?
The power of a service reverberates through family and friends and can offer lasting positive benefits. Whether there is a cremation or not, here are some important reasons to hold a funeral service. Funerals help us accept the reality of a death. In the days following a death, it can be difficult to grasp that the person we loved is really gone. A funeral service can provide the right closure for us to move on to the next stage of grieving. ... Funerals give us a safe place to express our grief. The world doesn't always understand grief, and it can be difficult to grieve openly in many situations. But a funeral is one place where it's absolutely okay to grieve and you'll be among friends who are feeling the same loss as you. Funerals connect us with our support network. Those friends who are feeling the same loss as you they're there to comfort you even as they grieve as well. Funerals offer us an opportunity to say goodbye. A funeral service is all about saying goodbye to someone we cared about. That's sometimes literal if the body is present, you can physically approach it and say your goodbyes. But even if the body is not present at the funeral, you can gain closure by joining in with family and friends to say farewell. Funerals let us honor and remember a life. Whether a life is long and eventful or much too short, it's a big deal. And every life is worth honoring. It's a loving expression of grief to spend some time remembering all the things we loved about a person, and to hear what others loved about them.
Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for our valued staff and helping the community we serve to do the same. We have been closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak according to the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). We want to share with you the actions we are taking to help protect our staff and the families we serve. Our staff has been trained to foll...ow the public health authorities’ guidance regarding hygiene and personal travel, and we’ve reinforced existing policy encouraging staff who exhibit flu-like symptoms to stay home and consult with a medical professional. We have also posted signage on doors and within our location advising visitors to make responsible decisions about attending services in person if they feel symptomatic. We want you to know that we are open and available to help you and that we still respond to calls when a death occurs. We can make arrangements by phone if that makes you more comfortable. We appreciate the trust that you place in us and will continue to closely monitor the situation and take actions necessary to help keep our staff and our community safe while providing the services you need during this difficult time. Most importantly we will continue to serve our community in any capacity that we can. Peace and blessings to everyone. Anthony
Wondering when the right time to start pre-planning your funeral is? Well, if you’re already thinking about itnow! While there are several reasons why planning ahead sooner, rather than later is beneficial, the truth is, no one can predict the time and circumstances of death, and many take comfort in knowing they’ve selected the type of burial, location and funeral they want as well as avoiding increasing costs. If you’re ready to start planning ahead, call us at 805-526-6677 or visit our website http://bit.ly/2VTWlXj
