Reagan Elementary Performing Arts

To all of our parents, welcome to the first day of school. 2018-19 will be an exciting new year as we are implementing a new music model. Every 5th and 6th grade student at Reagan will be required to signup for a musical group; Band, Strings, or Choir. Choir will be taught by Ms. Hubble, Strings will be taught by Mr. Elmore, and Band will be taught by Mr. van der Paardt. Sign ups were done at the end of last year, any students new to Reagan this year will be receiving a lett...er the first day of school, explaining each of the classes and a form to fill out to indicate their choice. We are requesting these forms be returned before the end of the week so that your child can be placed. Again, if your child was a student at Reagan last year, they have already been placed. A regular day at Reagan Elementary

Spring Concert Assembly, featuring the Reagan strings, band, and choir. Tuesday, May 22nd at 9:00am in the Reagan MPR. Come and join us for our final concert of the year.

How do you define a musical culture within a school? When they come into the music room on their own and play, and sing, and share.

Congratulations to the Reagan Concert Choir for earning a Command Performance at the CUSD Elementary choral festival. Thank you to all the parents who helped with uniforms, and to all who attended the performance. Go T-Wolves!

Tomorrow, Monday, April 9th, is the big day. The CUSD Elementary Choral festival, Reagan Elementary is in the first session beginning at 9:20 at Clovis North. If you are a volunteer who has been cleared by the office, we could use help to dress the students in uniforms. I will be on the stage with everything ready at 8:00. We need to have all 90 kids ready to go by 8:45. The session at Clovis North is free to the public and everyone is invited.

To All Choir Students and Parents: Monday, April 9th is the CUSD Spring Elementary Choral Festival. The schedule will be as follows: 8:30 Choir reports to the MPR/ dresses 8:45 Load bus/Depart Reagan 9:15 Arrive at Clovis North/Unload/ enter Theater... 9:20 Session Begins Fancher, Bud Rank, Liberty, Reagan 10:15 Session Ends Exit Theater, load bus, depart Clovis North 10:45 Arrive at Reagan, undress, put away uniforms, back to class This will be in full uniform: Girls choir dress (provided), hair ribbon (provided), white nylons, black flat shoes. Boys Tux shirt (provided), bow tie (provided), white under shirt, Navy blue slacks, black socks, black leather shoes If you have any problems providing any of the above, please contact me at [email protected] or call 327-8900 and notify us immediately so that we can provide the necessary items. We also need help with dressing the students, if you can help on the morning of April 9th, before and after the trip, please contact us. We need help distributing dresses, bows, bowties, etc, the more help the better. Volunteers must have been cleared through our office. I encourage all parents to come to the choral festival; the event is free to the public, our scheduled performance is 10:00, but I advise you to come early.
