Wow, thats an expensive knock off of the R&D Genius throttle body. It would have been more cost effective to purchase than to duplicate. Nice workmanship, they have deep pockets apparently.

Genius Throttle Body test results by an independent performance company in Europe. Comparing an original 2017 KTM350SXS-F throttle body assembly to the R&D Genius. They performed all the mapping on their dyno and the result that were achieved are noteworthy.

2017 KTM & HUSQVARNA EFI_TUNING NO MORE EFI PROGRAMING, thats right the latest versions of the MX and Off Road models have a locked EFI box. The programming tool that worked so well in the past has been eliminated and no longer is allow access, this is a big deal. My testing has show the original EFI settings are extremely lean and actually reduce performance, the EPA requirements apparently are so restrictive, the factories are doing their best to comply but actually detun...e their engines performance just to meet the requirements. I know it seems crazy, but just changing the exhaust muffler can cause the air fuel ratio to go all out of whack even worse the the factory setting. I work with a system called Vortex, their ECU is a reprogrammable unit that completely replaces the original EFI box. Vortex ECU’s are in stock and dyno tuned for your application. Imagine smooth and controlled torque from an idle, thats what I am talking about. For $650 you can completely change the power outputIt’s a no brainer. Call for inquiry. Dean@R&D 562/864-8218

TEST REPORT: R&D Racing/KTM250XCW Rider:Howard Utsey Considering that the motor had already been modified to include your throttle body/dyno tuned, H.C. Piston & modified intake ports the motor has - once again, been transformed. Very meaningful high torque just off idle. Like an electric motor all the way through the RPM range. Running 13/52 gearing, I can run 80 to 90% in 4th gear! Because of using higher gears my ears are telling I'm not going faster...therefore missing s...ome corners. Dean it's all good!! R&D Genius throttle body equipped Yamaha YZF450. Here's our little beast at Oulton Park last weekend in the UK. good outing. took wins in both the "open 500" and "supermoto" classes. The supermoto race is run as a mixed race that includes the "sound of thunder" and "super twins" classes. These include some big iron(ducati 1199R and and 899 panigales). The little 450 won its class and actually finished 9th overall in a field of 34. Prof. Jim Doll Browns University

Dean, A brief update on our bike (and your throttle body).... After the first 3 rounds our bike (photo below) is currently the points leader in the open 500 series in the UK. The rider, Dave Hampton, went 4-for-4 this weekend at Donington Park and was voted "man of the meeting" for his efforts.
