Its counter intuitive counter cultural counter religious. When my son started walking, he would go and go and go.He had so much to explore and learn and do. When it came time for bed he would squirm and fight us as we HELD him in our arms.... There was still so much to do and he wanted to do it. But we knew he had to rest, so we would literally fight his intense little heart by holding him tighter until he SURRENDERED to our embrace. It was in that place, as he was dozing off to sleep, that I could feel the muscles of his body start to relax and succumb to the love of his parents and just be HELD. The Lord is calling us to that place. The place where we just SURRENDER and just be HELD. To give up fighting His embrace, because there is still so much to do. This has been October. God holding us tightly, as we squirm and fight, because there is still so much to do. Let Him hold you in His arms.He knows how to fight and win the battles. I talked with my mentors in Cyprus about our BATTLECRY and they affirmed our hearts to, "TAKE IT TO THE STREETS!" When Jesus came to this earth and started his... ministry, he "took it to the streets." He called the "unqualified" he empowered the "foolish" he rose up the "sinners." When the church leaders "Pharisees" bowed to the government and pandered to their wishes... Jesus kept on preaching, healing, performing miracles. He sent the diciples out in twos to do the same. They were not "priests" or "wealthy" or "culturally savy" they were everyday people who loved and followed him! Since so many churches have bowed to tyranny and not kept their doors open, and have denied the power of God and His authority in this country...its time to take it to the streets. God is raising up a new genetation of strong godly leaders to lead this next generation since so many of the church leaders today have failed Gods people. This is our BATTLECRY... TO TAKE IT TO THE STREETS. You can NOT shut the doors to outdoor spaces. This is the heart of BATTLECRY: TO GATHER PEOPLE TOGETHER TO ENCOURAGE AND EMPOWER AND MOBILIZE THE BODY OF CHRIST to TAKE IT TO THE STREETS. To hold prayer meetings, Bible Studies, worship events in public places, in your homes, anywhere and everywhere we can. We need to HOLD THE LINE, BATTLE IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM, WAGE WAR ON THE ENEMY, STORM THE GATES OF HELL! NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE IDLE!!! We are planning 5 events in the next three months all over California. Our last event will be September 27th, Yom Kippur, at the California State Capitol Building.
