The City of Los Alamitos is currently reviewing our trash and street sweeping contracts. Every few years, the contract goes out to bid and the city selects the provider. This year, the city will be asking if street sweeping can be adjusted so that one side of the street will be closed for street sweeping and the other will be available to park reducing the burden on our residents. The Los Alamitos School District will be contracting with a solar power company and eventually purchasing energy from them for a potential savings of $16M over 30 years.
