* Student's Question ** I want to take the AP Chemistry course (or other AP courses) as soon as possible, so I must choose to complete Honors Chemistry in the summer school for a short time. Is there any way to speed up the pace, and at the same time develop a strong foundation? ** Randy's Response ** Definitely! If you must take Honors Chemistry during the summer, then it is imperative that you take Honors Chemistry with Randy in 9th grade while you are learning Biology/Hono...rs Biology at school. The reasoning is that it is IMPOSSIBLE for any high school to fully cover all of Honors Chemistry in only 6 weeks during summer. As a result, many students end up struggling when they move onto AP Chemistry as AP Chemistry heavily relies on the knowledge a student has acquired in Honors Chemistry. Randy will make sure your child develops strong foundation in Honors Chemistry so that he/she can be successful in AP Chemistry. No fear = No tears = Let the A appear! So here are the steps: 1. During 8th-9th grade summer: Enroll in Randy’s Honors Chemistry in the summer before entering 9th grade. 2. 9th grade: Continue with Randy’s Honors Chemistry class into the Fall & Spring. 3. During 9th-10th grade summer: Enroll in Honors Chemistry Summer Program at a high school (You already have strong foundation with Randy; you will be fine at summer school). Enroll in Randy's AP Chemistry at the same time (or AP Physics C if you want to major in engineering or medical field.) 4. 10th grade: Continue with Randy’s AP Chemistry (or AP Physics C if you want to major in engineering or medical field.) #RandyHonorsChemistry #RandyAPChemistry #RandyAPPhysics #RandyScience

** Parent's Question ** Between SAT II and AP scores (math & science), which is more important in college applications? ** Randy's Response ** Both are very important. Math & science AP scores are to earn college credit and to demonstrate competency. The math & science SAT II scores are to further demonstrate competency and to get into competitive fields/majors such as chemistry, physics, biology, medicine, pharmacy, computer science and engineering.... #RandyAP #RandyAPCalculus #RandyAPChemistry #RandyAPPhysics #RandyScience #RandyMath
