What would your dream look like? Decorate your dream room in a shoebox with Adela! Adela will be responding to comments and questions live during the premiere until 2:30 pm. This Project is intended for teens and adults though anyone can participate. ... Craft Materials: - Shoebox (or small box) - Random materials found around your house - Imagination! This project is focused on upcycling things you may have laying around to design a dream room. RAFFLE! Teen and Adult Madera County residents who post pictures of their shoebox room in the comments area, send a photo via Facebook Messenger to Madera County Library, or email their photo to [email protected] by July 8, 2021 will be eligible for a chance to win a kit to paint their actual room! In the kit the winner will recieve home patinting supplies (Paint brushes, rollers, trays, etc.) and a gift card to a local hardeware store to purchace the paint color of your choice!

Reading Colors Your World Summer Reading activity for kids! We'll be handing out DIY Galaxy Jar kits on Friday, June 25 from 11am-3pm. Grab & Go bags will be available at the branch while supplies last. Kids must be present. Make your craft with us! Instructional video will premiere on June 29 @2pm on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel.

We still have 12 spots available for our upcoming backpack literacy program we'll be holding in conjunction with First 5 Madera! Next Thursday we will be starting with the Science program focusing on weather, days of the week, and months of the year! Madera County Library will be offering a Backpack Literacy Program for parents and their children ages 4 to 5 who are not currently enrolled in an established Pre-K program in Madera County. This program will be provided virtually through all 5 branch libraries with one branch implementing a virtual Spanish program.
