Tomatoes from seeds Rodney started the week before he died.
Got some nice culantro coming along here, with sunflower pollinator attracters coming up in front.
Today we are delivering 30 gallons and 4 quarts of onion/garlic packs, 14 head of famosa cabbage, 12 gallons of salad, and 27 bunches of kale and collards. 7 boxes of produce to Catholic Worker.
Onion harvest ongoing, kale and collards going strong, and tomatoes starting to come on strong.

This weekend we harvested, washed, and packed 44 quarts of tomatoes (Cherokee purple, Brads atomic Grape, lunchbox, chocolate sprinkles, sun gold, and summer). eggplant, peppers, plus 9 niches of chard, beets, and carrots. Got two boxes of squash too. Some of it is going to folks in quarantine who can’t get to the store. All donated.
Since we got more crops, I'm spending this weekend building a cold storage unit. A small insulated room with a digital a/c room unit hooked to a "Coolbot," which will run the temperature down into the 40s. Shoutout to my buddy Carlos for his help, not bad for a non-Navy man. He welds like a mofo.
We got to meet this remarkable lady at Ecofarm in January. https://www.npr.org//farming-while-black-a-guide-to-findin
Nice haul from the plot at African American Farmers of California. Our buddy Chris gave us three boxes of fantastic squash he grew out there to pass on to St. Benedict Catholic Worker here in Fresno.
62 mixed tomato packs last weekend. Looks like we are going to be picking twice a week really soon. All donated, along with mixed vegetable packs, heirloom tomato packs, and bunches of collard greens, kale, and swiss chard, plus the odd beet and radish. Building a cold storage with a room a/c and a "coolbot" this weekend.
45 mixed tomato packs for distribution via Catholic Worker.
