Leo Smith was adopted from RAIN yesterday. He's shy and not quite ready to leave his carrier yet but he's checking his new home out very curiously. Leo hit the JACKPOT. A photo of Sammy, who was also adopted, will be here soon. (that's Sammy barely in the photo, front left, trying to encourage Leo to come out and play)

"I think he's 4. He showed up in spring of 2017, skin and bones. he was anywhere from 9mos to a year and a half at that time, its so hard to tell and he was so so so very skinny. he's neutered and ear tipped, had one set of rabies shots but nothing else. I have tried to get him in a cage on two occasions and I have the scars to prove it. I consider him semi-feral. he uses the cat door, doesn't mark inside, goes outside to do his potty. he'll fall asleep on your chest or lap, ...and I can pick him up now and drape him over my shoulder and give him pets for a few minutes. he likes to sleep on my bed, he likes to snuggle, and he is beginning to play again. (Mookie loathes him with a passion, and has gotten extremely aggressive in her efforts to keep him out of her territory. she full on attacks him regularly. as a result, some of his behaviors have regressed. but I believe that were he in a home where no one was attacking him, the ground would be much more rapidly regained.) the down side is that he is very jumpy, and when he get scared, he'll whack ya and then run. so he needs someone who knows it's not a personal attack, that he was scared, and won't react with anger. I know I am asking a lot." Comment here if you are interested in "Ghost". See more
