The human spirit is capable of withstanding an incredible amount of stress. This year hasn’t been easy for any of us. Large segments of the economy have been decimated and lives have been lost on a massive scale. Even for those of us fortunate enough to have our health and the privilege of a stable job, our lives and routines have been completely upended. We miss face-to-face interactions, parties, celebrations, sports, concerts, performances, and countless other social even...ts where we’d mix with crowds large and small without worrying about whether doing so could expose us or our more vulnerable loved ones to an often deadly virus. But we’ve adjusted and persevered. We’ve adapted and we will emerge with a far greater appreciation for a way of life that can easily be faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges. We’ll surely be less likely to take it for granted in the future. From all of us at Rafii & Associates, P.C., we wish you a Happy New Year full of love and appreciation for life. Thanksgiving 2020 will be a bit of a departure from the norm as people are encouraged not to travel and to avoid large gatherings. The pandemic has disrupted all parts of life but as we get into the holiday season there is plenty to remind us of what we’re sacrificing for. The greatest gifts this challenging year has given us was a new perspective on the things we’ve been taking for granted all this time! A new perspective on just how grateful we are for the simplest of things. And while many are still struggling this Thanksgiving, we hope you are able to take a moment and practice some gratitude for all the lessons 2020 has brought us.
