As a business owner, I am always thinking about the purpose of my business. Many might think, well you're a photographer so you're meant to take beautiful photos. Yes, that is true but that is just one piece to the purpose behind my business.... Others might say.. well, it's to provide for your family. Yep, that's another reason of why I work, but I want my business to be so much more than that. I truly believe each of us were put on this earth for a reason. For me, that reason is so much more than doing things just for me and my family. The purpose behind my business is to create beautiful photographic art for every single client to enjoy every day in their home. Also, the purpose behind what I do is to give back to my community and others. Giving back can be done is so many ways. Here are a few groups that I enjoy being a part of: @wewripon @gardenjoy_ @riponchamberofcommerce @thegoldhopeproject Living "Your Brightest Life" to me is having a purpose that goes beyond myself and my family. This can mean so many things for each of us as individuals. We each have gifts that are being used for a purpose beyond ourselves. Right now it might be focusing on your children while they are young. It could mean giving back by serving in your church or helping with your child's school. You can also find a group that gives back in an area that you are passionate about. I would encourage you to think about ways you are involved in your community. If you are needing to find ways to get involved, just ask around and I know you'll find an area where your gifts can be used. I encourage you to start living "Your Brightest Life" today. Today I heard someone talk about community.. If you feel like you don't have community, then go out and create it for yourself. I remember dreaming about when I would become a mother. Then when I was pregnant with our first child, I planned out a themed nursery that would work for a boy or a girl (since we didn't find out what we were having). I remember sitting in that room rocking in the glider chair and feeling my baby move inside of me. Now.... that baby is already 13 years old and I know I'm going to blink again and he's going to be graduating from high school. Momma... no matter how many times... you are told "don't blink, they grow up so fast." Until you experience it for yourself, you truly don't realize how fast the days and years fly by. When our baby arrives, we are just in the moment. Surviving one day at a time. And then we realize, that we blinked and that month, year, and then years have gone by so fast.
