Radiance is seeking a new housemate - open April 17th - In Jack London District, Oakland Hi Friends: We are seeking a new housemate and community partner, start date April 17 or May 1 2021. Bedroom size is ~325 sq. ft., with 2 windows, gas heater, furnished if you desire. Radiance is coming up to some truly wonderful things, and you could be a major part of shaping our future. We took ownership of the building 6 years ago, and have completed all requirements to be a public ve...nue. Good things ahead! In house washer and dryer, full kitchen, 2 shared bathrooms upstairs, many bathrooms downstairs, two showers. Guest accommodations for occasional visitors - if you want to put up friends from time to time. There will be 3 residents total. We plan to add a hot tub in the near future. We are located in the historic Jack London District, 278 4th St., near a lot of shopping, food options, and public transportation. Parking is generally easy. The neighborhood is reasonably safe, though vigilance is important. Monthly rent is $1500 per month, all utilities included. All residents work as core community members of Radiance Oak. We see ourselves as community leaders, and place a high value in maintaining impeccable relationships. Finishing Radiance Oak Thanks everyone for your ongoing support of Radiance - your good words, energy, time and in some cases money have all been critical to our surviving a long and difficult journey. We are in the last phases of renovation and need to find the funding to complete. For everyone not familiar with Radiance (or who is but it may have been awhile) we exist to serve community, and this has meant providing meeting and performance space, equipment and storage, as w...ell as being an event venue. We have been required by the City of Oakland to renovate as public assembly space, and are within about 50K of the funding we need to complete what has been a truly massive project, and reopen our doors fully. We invite lenders wishing to support community to help in our efforts, by making short term loans.
