Thanks for sharing this great video Bloom Psychology. Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D. provides some great tips for parents on how to talk to kids about COVID in a way that instills a sense of safety as opposed to threat, danger and fear.

I couldn’t love this share by @michellehortontherapy any more. The quote, the image, Michelle’s words And the perfect opportunity to spread the news that I will now be offering The Daring Way here in San Diego. My first group, Daring Women: Daring Greatly starts in just 6 weeks. You can find more details at the link in my bio! __________ sharing from @michellehortontherapy... What does the arena look like for you right now? How are you showing up and being brave? Arenas can be in so many parts of our life whether it’s building our business, taking a promotion, motherhood, trying to conceive after miscarriage or making new friends after we moved. It doesn’t matter what the arena is, to show up and dare greatly means to be vulnerable, dig into our values and take risk. Love this quote from @brenebrown and illustration from @wonder_doodles. Getting to use Brené Brown’s work as a therapist is one of my favorite things. #brenebrownquotes #brenebrown #vulnerability #vulnerabilityisstrength #courageovercomfort #courage #therapy #therapist #therapistofcolor #counseling #mentalhealth #perfectionist #mentalwellness #onlinetherapy #onlinetherapist #therapistsofinstagram #therapistquotes #emotionalwellness #psychology #positivepsychology #selfcare #quoteoftheday #wisdom #therapytips #wellnesstips #encinitastherapist #miscarriage #founder #entrepreneurlife #motherhood

As many as 40% of infertile couples may discontinue treatment before achieving a pregnancy due to psychological distress, according to recent research by Alice Domar. (1). This research is from 2018; previous studies reported a dropout rate as high as 60%! So what helps couples stay in treatment in order to reach their goal? Learning stress reduction techniques was noted by patients as something that could affect the decision to terminate treatment. But here's the thing,... these specific research participants were actually at a clinic where counseling and acupuncture services were offered (!). Having access isn’t enough, it’s actually taking advantage of the resources that creates change. I know, not rocket science, but yes-- we need to get vulnerable; we need to reach out and connect in order to support ourselves in stressful times. So here's an invitation-- Please join me for the next 6-week infertility support group that starts on September 11th. There are 3 spots left! As a group participant you will learn coping strategies to manage the rollercoaster of emotions, meet other women, and have the opportunity to talk freely about the myriad of ways that infertility has impacted your life, your relationships, your identity-- your dreams. Past group participants have reported learning one or more new coping strategy as a highlight of their experience. The most popular response however, is meeting other women who get it. Enrollment information can be found through the link in my profile. What a life-changing bill for California. Infertility treatments are such an enormous financial burden, and oftentimes a deterrent for so many wishing to grow their families. This bill could change everything!
