They were relocating from New York to Los Angeles for work (and weather of course). ... They entrusted me with helping them find a home 100% remotely! I went to work and was able to find them brand new construction in the heart of LA’s chic Hancock Park neighborhood. We opened escrow and ONE WEEK before closing the husband had his job offer put on hold due to Covid! The lender could not close and they had removed ALL their contingencies so their deposit was in jeopardy. With some tough and creative negotiations we were able to extend their escrow period not once but several times. Husband’s job offer was renewed and we were finally able to close escrow 7 months later! Best of all the home APPRECIATED during escrow and is worth a lot more now then when they opened escrow!
