Working on my new poetry book Give to the Light and continuing the Treasure of Bay Island this summer. I've had a wonderful year being with children and presenting my stories. Even created the Baggy Duck headbands this year!! Almost done with my hatha yoga training. Adding this knowledge to my presentations.

As I continue to edit Golden Privateers which will be out this summer, I wanted to show some of my beginning articles. I began in 1978 by publishing "Bob is Captain." It was written under my pseudonym --Dawn Walker! Published in CASTOFF Magazine. It was followed by "Could that Be Food" I had a breakthrough in 1980 and was published in CRUISING WORLD, an international magazine with "The World is My Home." They wouldn't allow me to use Dawn Walker and so I was published under my married name--Maureen Fassbaugh. Then MAINSHEET, the Catalina magazine, published my "Beyond Conception article. In 1986, after having more than 11 years sailing offshore, I was published again in CRUISING WORLD with "A Sailor Is Born."
