The fire has been contained at about .5 acres. *** U.S. Forest Service-Plumas National Forest and Quincy Volunteer Fire Department Inc. are on scene of a repor...ted wildland fire between Beskeen Lane and Quail Ridge Road north of the Gansner Airfield in Quincy. Current size and cause is unknown as crews will need to hike into the location. Currently there are no structures threatened; however, we will continue to monitor the incident. See more

This afternoon Quincy Fire and Forest Service responded to a vegetation fire on Ridge Run Rd. While Quincy Fire was getting ready to leave and return home, forest service personal spotted a fire beginning on the outside of a house on Ridge Run Rd. (unrelated to the vegetation fire). Quincy Fire engine OES 360 was first on scene and quickly knocked it down. Meadow Valley responded to assist.
