Quartzsite Times 09.12.2020

On October 29th 2017 at approximately 12:30 am, Law Enforcement and Fire/Medical responded to a disturbance in the up river area of Parker. Upon arrival, a mal...e subject was found with an apparent gunshot wound. One of the subjects in the case, Berlynn Irwin, is the daughter of an employee of the La Paz County Sheriff’s Department. Upon realizing the connection with the Department and the severity of the matter, the Lake Havasu City Police Department investigative unit was requested to take over the investigation. The LHCPD Detectives responded and conducted a very thorough investigation, including a search warrant/interviews. This will conclude our involvement with this case. Quartzsite Times 30.11.2020

On June 15th, 2017, the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office Investigation’s Unit was notified by the Blythe Police Department of an alleged child abuse that occurred... on June 10th, 2017 in the town of Ehrenberg, in La Paz County Arizona. The victim was pronounced deceased at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital on June 11th, 2017. The La Paz County Sheriff’s Office and the Blythe Police Department began a parallel Investigation. On Friday, September 22, 2017, the victim’s death was ruled a homicide and the location for cause of death was determined to be in Ehrenberg, Arizona. A joint effort was conducted between the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office, Beaumont Police Department, Riverside County Sheriff’s Office (Fugitive Warrant Enforcement Team), Blythe Police Department, and the Banning Police Department in the apprehension and arrest of Aaron Freeman. Freeman was booked into the Banning Police Department Detention Center on a Felony Arrest Warrant for the following charges: Murder 1st Degree, Murder 2nd Degree, Aggravated-Assault with Serious Physical Injury to a Minor, Aggravated Assault (adult on a minor) and Child Abuse. Bail was set at $1,000,000.00. September 21,2017 at 730 pm the Quartzsite Police Dept. recovered a stolen vehicle out of Parker, AZ last night with the assistance of our newly acquired LPR System which was a grant from the AATA.
