Our ten-year mission was to lift barriers to human potential to meet the ultimate challenges of the future. It took an amazing team, supportive mentors, courageous advisors, dedicated parents and our brilliant junior hackers (like @ghtechinc) to unlock the hidden genius that rocked the world and created a movement. Thanks to @the_dream_corps @kaporcenter @vanjones68 @echoinggreen and all our partners for being on that journey with us. "How To Raise A Hacker" will be available soon in bookstores and online. #YesWeCode #bigboldchange #TEDx #tedtalks #steam #techdiversity #inclusion #techequity #hackers #defcon #BlackLivesMatter

Deeply heartfelt congratulations to Hadiyah Mujhid and HBCUvc for joining the Echoing Green family of fellows and networked changemakers! Nine years ago, I joined a small group of Black and Brown founders and techies for an inaugural meetup that helped spark a movement that would sweep the world - minority-led startup entrepreneurship and impact creation. Folk like Monique Niccole, Chris Bennett, Nnena Ukuku, Kurt Collins and a few others - the things we have all done since then have been transformative for the landscape of an inclusive future for American and globally and ushering new possibilities for trailblazers like Austin H Martin and Rhymes with Reason. Kudos to the entire 2019 cohort! #BigBoldChange

Research shows that encounters with people of color are often perceived as "racially threatening" with others imagining them as older, bigger and closer than th...ey really are. The ability to quickly process what we are feeling and choose the best response matters to our health and well-being. On TED Radio Hour's Confronting Racism episode, Forward Promise Director, Dr. Howard Stevenson shows us how we can use racial literacy to help boys and young men of color make better decisions in these moments. https://n.pr/2HWiIX2 See more

We mourn the lives lost in the #ChristChurch mosque terrorist attack. We stand with the Muslim community against Islamophobia and white supremacy in both New Zealand and around the world. #WeStandWithYou #TheyAreUs
