This Friday, we are partnering with Strut & Reed Carlisle to bring you A Juneteenth Reunion - A Rally for Black Joy! Come out for an afternoon in celebration of Black lives! Please wear masks, social distance when applicable & bring good vibes!
Our general manager Christian Gabriel will be speaking at this event & we encourage all of you to come if you are able! Please wear masks & practice social distancing when possible!
We were so proud to march with San Francisco yesterday to demand accountability and justice for police violence. An estimated 15,000 people of all ages, races, genders, orientations and cultures came together to show our support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement and marched peacefully from Dolores Park to downtown. We shouted the names of Black people who have been lost to police violence, we kneeled and we raised our hands. When we reopen, QBarSF will continue our mission to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone, and in particular queer and trans people of color. We will always stand with #BlackLivesMatter and the Black community to demand justice, equality and liberation.
If anyone would like to join Reed & Christian they will be meeting in front of the bar at 3:30pm to walk over to Mission High for the peaceful protest. Come out & stand in solidarity against police violence! Wear a mask & protect yourself & each other! #BlackLivesMatter
In response to recent events, QBarSF wants everyone to know that we stand in solidarity with protestors across the country who are demanding an end to police violence and the murder of unarmed Black citizens. Our mission has and will continue to be creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone and to welcome and celebrate queer and trans people of color in our community. We encourage you to engage with others in your families, friend groups and social networks about what y...ou can do to support the work of anti-racism and demand accountability from law enforcement and elected officials. We all have the power to be part of the solution. The linked article below offers various ways you can help to support the families of those affected by police violence, support protest movements across the country and tools for discussing and educating your community about these issues. #BlackLivesMatter
