Michael Tennant's newest theatrical project - discovering the hymns of a composer from 200 years ago. Amazing that after 200 years, the works of a great hymn writer have been discovered. Follow along on the journey, as the story of a man named Grover Solomon is told, and his music introduced to the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcS3uRwQcK0&t=1s

Here's a post I never thought I'd write, and no matter what I say here, it just won't be enough, nor would it be if I wrote a novel. How does one eulogize an ar...tist who had depths and potential no one could possibly understand. I've had many students, many wonderful, amazing students - but if I ever had a student who was like a daughter to me, that was Mattea. I watched as her talent as an actress and as a visual artist grew and grew. She always bought into my ideas, no matter how crazy, and she put up with my moods, no matter how irritable I became. My daughters loved her and she loved them right back. How did I meet Mattea? I sought her out. I saw a picture she painted in a classroom, and I had to know who painted it. The things she could do with water colors were incredible. Mattea is no longer with us in person, but her art is still here. For an artist, there is a sense of immortality. About 14 years ago I wrote a musical on the life of Amelia Earhart. I want to dedicate a song from that musical to Mattea. I've included it in a picture video below, which shows some of her artwork as well as some of her time with us at Play With Your Food Productions. If you knew Mattea, take a moment to watch and remember. If you never met Mattea, take a moment to meet her through the art she left behind. God bless you, Mattea. I'm thankful for you, and your life, and for the time I was able to have with you. I can't imagine a day will pass where I don't think of you. For anyone who owns a piece of Mattea's original art, you have a priceless treasure.

Here's one of the sketches from the Vaudeville show. Sid Ceasar and Imogene Coca performed this back in the day. We weren't in costume, no theatrical lights, just done very minimalistically.

Since we weren't able to open as planned, we thought we'd post a few videos of some of our favorite numbers to do. We're not in costume, no lights, its not professionally recorded, but they're still fun to watch.
